I won't be watching the "political news" tonight since there's really no suspense about what's going to happen. Been that way from the second this all started. Let's just hope it comes back to bite them in the ass. Which there's a good chance it will.

Hey, only a little over half of California's voters deserve to be bitten in the ass. Leave the innocents out of it, they're already suffering enough.

Absolutely right. I'm one of those Californians whose suffering from the majority's ill-informed choices. I vote, and it's not my fault Arnold's winning!

The "them" is the Republicans/people who made the recall happen, not Californians in general.

Bizarre

I am just dumbfounded. My mother is humiliated. It is humiliating. Now, first of all, FOX called the election with only a fraction of the write-in votes counted. But, of course, this is all beside the point. Whatever. The dude won. And he won by a "landslide". Or, actually, the Right won by a landslide. Between Arnold and McClintock, the Right got 65% of the vote. Yow! It actually hurts. I am in the sort of same place as I was after the 2000 election. What on Earth are people thinking? It's not worth caring about, on a personal level.

But I can't wait for all the election fraud issues to surface. The stories are horrifying. Election workers telling people, "Your vote for a candidate won't be counted unless you vote 'Yes!' on the recall measure." 5800 polling places reduced to 1800, Police writing tickets for people parked waiting in hour long lines to vote. It's going to be great.

What on Earth are people thinking? Dude, the second I heard a couple of years ago that the guy might be a candidate, I thanked my lucky stars that he can never be president, because this was as close to a foregone conclusion as you can get in politics. After Reagan, Californians obviously don't mind being thought of as insane. I suspect the only reason you find it humiliating is that you haven't "gone native" yet.

It's basically, Davis outfoxed 'em last year, so they figured out how to pay him back. It's embarrassing for America, but not any more so than is already the case with our president.
