Of course: we grovel to S.'s parents, the check from the stock arrives the next day. That's the way things had to happen. Well, no more worries about that at least. Now to just pack up and move out of here.

Now, a baby break. I wanted to write down all the words that Mini-Me is saying these days.

So that's like 70 words or so, and we are probably forgetting some. It's harder because she really will repeat anything you say to her. We are instilling much oohing and aawwing from the grandparents by getting her to say "ilovoo" over the phone, which is the new thing. But the ones above are things we ask her to find (i.e. "where's your hair?") or she actually says spontaneously.

The other new thing is climbing all over the place. Today she pushed an office chair to the window and tried to climb up on it to look out the window. Now I know why everyone warned us it would be tough to keep up with her.

Jay's brother (who is about to become a dad himself any minute) had a fwundant named elecake when he was a kid. I've known about this fwundant for years, but until very recently, I thought it was "ella cake." Somehow to me this makes a difference to me. Elecake wore a superhero-looking cape.

Fwundants are the bestest.
