It would be fab if we had higher voter turnout this year, and apparently we will. But why does the media insist on calling it "record" turnout? If it's like 60% that would be a huge improvement over last time. But it still would be less than the early 1960s. Not to mention the late 1800s, when something like 90% of eligible voters (white men) would vote in elections for candidates whose differences seem inscrutable today.

I'm just getting into pre-crank mode. Because I am very afraid of what will happen tonight. "God punishes us mildly by ignoring our prayers and severely by answering them."

Also, I am really, really sick. Again. Argh.
