I love living here. This is a great place to live. We love our house. We love the Bay. We're going maple syruping today at Coggeshall Farm. It's beautiful and we're going to enjoy every second of doing that with Mini-Me.

But this thing of having no friends is wearing thin indeed.

Maybe, if I had to move to greater New York, it wouldn't be so bad after all. I don't know how we could afford more than a breadbox to live in. But the isolation is getting to me, I have to admit.

Unless she has a very well-paying job, the costs of child care would eat up most of her wages. And she's been out of the "career track" for a long time; a well-paying job is not in the cards.
