Were you going to haul buckets of sap to the sugarhouse? How exactly does one "go" sugaring? I bet they could put you to work splitting wood-- you gotta burn a lot of wood to make syrup.
We've done this near Baltimore and then near Boston a few times. It's usually just someone standing there with a kettle boiling and sap steam everywhere, smelling heavenly. The setup can be more or less elaborate, depending on how "educational" it's meant to be. But you don't really need to do anything other than watch the Real Men play with the bucket and fire.
