We had a lovely trip, and I will update more about that later, but what concerns me now is that within a couple of hours of arriving at home I began coughing again like a motherfucker. It has lessened now but is still pretty bad.

The house was kind of cold when we came in, but is warmer now. I'm freaking out wondering if water from our leaking roof caused the dispersal of some kind of particles in the air from the insulation or something... or we have radon or something... or any of a number of other irrational conjectures... anyway, this is bad.

Ugh. I hope you find the source of the problem. Is it possible that it's as harmless as a week's accumulation of dust and whatnot that you stireed up by walking in?

A does of Robitussin and warmth in the house seem to have done the trick for this morning, so I'm thinking it might have been the cold. We do habitually keep the downstairs at 64 and the upstairs is usually cooler than that. So the dose of prolonged 50something when I came in might have done it.
