Very hard to give a catalog of the past days (or the days before that)... so much that one would want to record. Basically things are fine and everyone is well, aside from the Mrs. getting some severe food poisoning from mac and cheese that a friend kindly brought over! Baby is changing every day... one forgets how teeny tiny they are when born, how great they feel, and how it takes them a few days to wake up to life.
The routine has not been difficult so long as there are things to divert Jo. Stupid weather refuses to budge from the low 40s, so zoo, playground, etc. are out, but there's school/playgroup, thankfully, and now mother in law is coming back up. So it's more or less as before except that the Mrs. can't drive (I probably shouldn't drive either in the state I'm in) and has to nurse Junior Sanpaku every few hours. It now comes back to me that the first few weeks are easy, since their needs are few and easily met (feed, change, sleep, repeat). It's in that 3-6 week period when the crying for no reason thing usually kicks in,
Right now (day 11) he has a knack for waketime being between 2 and 5 in the morning, though, so the cumulative sleep deprivation (2-5 hours a night for me) is mounting. Other than the sensation of floating a few feet off the ground, and some hoarseness, I have reasonably good energy. Some minor... what's it called?... aphasia or something... in which I can't recall words is the main effect. I managed to lead class last night for about an hour and a half less than usual. I don't think they minded. So I'm feeling a little... abstract... at the moment.

Woke up this morning and saw a giant wild turkey in the yard today. I think we have some pictures to prove it wasn't a hallucination.
Also to mention that we had my folks, (godmother)
peaches57,
laurens10,
chanaleh,
tapuz, and a lot of other friends, and neighbors come over to celebrate the removal of the end of little Henry's henry. Despite having to put it that way, it was an incredible experience and we were profoundly moved to have so many people to celebrate with us. So that was something to sustain us in the slog of the next few weeks.
Overall... I think this is going to be more fun the second time around.
