brief update
May. 9th, 2006 05:02 pmToday I feel like my eyeballs are going to fall out of my head. Work just keeps ramping up, up, up... childcare becomes ever more intense... no end in sight... it's exhausting.
At least being chair of the ritual committee won't detain me much longer. I told the president and the rabbi on Sunday that I won't do it anymore. It was hard, but necessary for my sanity. We're not quitting the place yet, I've decided, but we really do need to step back on some level. But I still can't make myself write about the whole mess on my j-blog.
At least we had a nice weekend -- watching herring jump upstream at an 18th-century farmhouse on Sunday, and a drive through Narragansett. This is too good of a place to think about giving up on it, we decided. New England in the spring is pretty great, though I suppose just about anywhere looks good this time of year, before the heat and the mosquitos ruin everything.
