Much of today spent contemplating horror of selling the house at huge loss after incurring costs to make repairs simply so it will sell...

Starting the new job officially: Nov. 5.

Selling the house and moving -- as soon as we can -- which is probably not soon -- we will try for the fall, but realistically we may well be here through the spring. If we can't sell then... I dunno.

Is the market really that shaky in little Rhoadie? Because we are still appreciating here, with houses selling in approx 6 weeks in my neighborhood. hey say that the national trends aren't as important as what's going on in your neighborhood. So, whatever that's worth...

Depreciated about 3% or so for the past few quarters... had been seeing it on the news but hoped we had bought before the top of the peak. Not so according to the nice realtor who came to us today with copies of recent sales in the area. He tells us to offer it for 5 less than we paid, probably more like 10, settling for... who knows. In truth I had looked at recent sales and I knew we were gefuckt. So much for our savings.
