sanpaku_backupNo one can really think of anything to say. Just completely irrational things go through my head, like what I would do in the army. Many hysterical things. This is something I'm sure no one ever thought would really happen outside a sci-fi movie.
Just to keep watching the towers burning... and then when they collapsed. After the first one went, I just kept saying, "God, no, please, not the other one, please." Crying my eyes out for tens of thousands of trapped people dying before my eyes. Those buildings, for them just to be gone... it just doesn't register in the brain.
The numbness of watching the TV for hours. Tired and exhausted but unable to watch. Unable to sleep or think of anything. Just about every man, woman and child in this country will be feeling the same way. What will come of this is impossible to predict... but it will be something profound, I truly feel.
