Another weird thing about Facebook is that no fewer than four close friends of mine have joined it within the past few weeks, completely independently of each other (and me). I wonder if this is one of those moments where people just join something they've held out against because they don't remember anymore why they held out against it. Vaguely Malcolm Gladwell-esque.

Also, the entire world here is shutting down tomorrow in preparation for a snowstorm that will possibly bring somewhere between 6 and 12 inches (though these things never seem to materialize as all that). This disgusts me.
