Weird how wallpaper went out of fashion. It seemed like such a good idea at one time; now it seems like the stupidest thing in the world.

This is old and dowdy stuff, so it was never a good idea. But the real thing is that the walls are kind of crumbling behind it. So now I understand why she put it up in the first place.
