People beating up the Cookie Monster. My, my. What is the world coming to.

Anyway, I had bizarre dreams last night. I had at least 3 involving my friends and (Freud alert) one involving my mother. It also involved this very strange recurring theme I have in my dreams. I have to go home, and I am walking where the north shore of the Monongahela River is in downtown Pittsburgh. In reality this is a multilane highway, but in several of my dreams it is this incredibly elaborate plaza of some sort. Once it was a big set of hanging gardens with ornamented bridges and flowers and little streams. Last night there was a building in the form of a big Futurist sunken wheel in the ground, and it was my office-- I was stopping off on the way home-- and when I entered the building it started to rise in the air like the restaurant at the top of the space needle.

I don't know why my dreams often involve walking from this part of Pittsburgh across where the Fort Pitt bridge is. Once I actually got across and somehow the south shore turned into this huge open valley of buildings and urban sprawl, and I realized that I was actually in Chicago... But the thing of crossing the river is always constant, but none of the other Pittsburgh landscape is the same.

Anyway I dreamed that I had to see my mom. And that's not too surprising as my mom has to go in for heart surgery in a couple of weeks and I'm a bit worried.

Then I had this dream that I got out of my car at a roadblock in West Roxbury-- the police had blocked Baker Street off -- to go look for Mrs. Sanpaku. When I came back the car was gone. I started looking all over for it with increasing panic.

My dreams are not that interesting. Some people on LJ consider it rude to post about dreams, like you are telling people thing they have no interest in. But what else do we think about? For myself, I always dream a lot more about weird places than people, but then people show up at random.

I had at least 4 dreams last night that were interrupted or that I woke up out of... like the car thing, because I felt myself getting scared. So I'm a mite tired today.

On an unrelated note, the maple syrup from Sunday is the best shit you ever tasted in your life.

Ho hum.

Frank Lloyd Wright wanted to build a restaurant at the Point that was suspended by cables from Mount Washington and the surrounding hills. It was to be shaped like a UFO and accessible only by cable car ... the cars riding down to the hub on the support cables. See, why you should never get Frank Lloyd Wright drunk?
