Mar. 31st, 2002 10:33 pmNot too much to report. Last few days have been Passover, with D. in from out of town. We had a bigger than usual seder on Wednesday night -- invited former boss Adam over along with Beth, whom I used to work with. I figured if we were going to all the trouble of making the house nice and everything we should try to have a bit of a crowd. What do you know, it was really great. Nice mix of people, interesting conversation. And Mrs. Sanpaku's food rocked the planet. So that was really great. Maybe the secret to being social is to do it in a big way.
Did all the Passover things. D stayed over the weekend and we didn't do too much except watch mst3k. Went out to see Panic Room, not bad.
Bit of a breather in terms of work after all the insane house cleaning and cooking and whatnot. But my inlaws are sending their big white dog here tomorrow for us to watch for a week, and Mrs. has a couple of her friends coming on Tuesday night. Passover does not end until Thursday, so we tried to explain that there will not be any good food or much to do until then, but they wanted to come anyway, so things will be busy again. Probably ought to clean the house yet again.
Got a tax preparation program for the first time and went through it. I owe a huge amount of taxes on the unemployment and the contract work from last year. The software made the process much less complicated. I always took pride in figuring out my own taxes, but it would just have been crazy this year.
