I'm in a particularly unhappy mood today, having just been anally raped by the CEO. He comes up to my cubicle without warning during my lunch break
(I make sure to tell him this) while I am playing chess. He asks me about finding an American history portrait that he knows nothing about. I figure I have already been caught playing chess but the food is right there, I have nothing else to do, and I am not even one of the American historians on the payroll. I have been "caught" anyway. So I turn around and answer his questions without looking at the computer, and two minutes later I have found the image on Google and handed it to him. And of course the reward was my boss being reprimanded for letting me play chess, and a complaint that I said I was on lunch. Retardo Man apparently thinks no one should have lunch. Oh, and have I mentioned that I've been working 13 hour days, as I'm sure he knows? At least my boss doesn't give a shit, but I am still humiliated about it. And I am still at work.
I was sitting at lunch because he and the other 2 people in my department went to lunch together without asking me, which always feels just wonderful.
