sanpaku_backupSlowly, almost imperceptibly, I am beginning to develop a Plan. This Plan will reinfuse my professional life with a sense of meaning and purpose. It is more feasible than past plans in that I am somewhat qualified to do it. That doesn't mean that the Plan will not look absurd if I write it out here, so I won't. But I have a Plan. That's a good thing.
As usual with these things, I bellyached about Xmas only to more or less get my way on everything without even trying. Xmas Eve and Morning (present-time) were spent at my sister-in-law's. The threat of the storm led us to have everyone come back to our house for an afternoon in front of the fire, A Christmas Story, and no Xmas music at all. We actually wrapped chestnuts and roasted them on the open fire, and they were good. And there was no fight. Why, you'd hardly know it was Xmas at all. And that's the best December 25 anyone could want.
Took advantage of the presence of mother-in-law to go out to dinner and a movie. Went to see Catch Me If You Can, which was pretty enjoyable.
In other news, my sister-in-law got a job on Long Island, which means she is moving there in a few weeks. And the nice young couple we met at the shul who live in Newton are moving to Albany in August. Bummer.

Date: 2002-12-27 03:11 am (UTC)I will invent clothing that takes advantage of bodily movements to convert mechanical pressure directly into electrical potential. It will store this electronic potential in "batteries". These "batteries" will power low current electronic "devices". Now, you may say that such a thing is silly. But there's a point to it.
Now, I'll walk around with my magic electric jacket protesting Shrub's current and future wars.
I will have a pet squirrel which I keep on a leash attached to my pinky ring. When I whistle, the squirrel will leap into a large pocket on my magic electric jacket.
