sanpaku_backupI went around for most of the day feeling as though I had been punched in the chest. It really did take something out of me.
We decided that Valentine's Day came early this year. (This is one of the many holidays that seem to exist purely to make people desperately unhappy.) Yesterday we went to the Creperie off of Thayer St. I had one with Nutella and bananas. It was pretty great. Tonight we went bowling, not because of Valentine's Day, but because my mother-in-law is still here. As usual, I did not remember how to bowl correctly until I was almost done with the second game. I got a 91 for my third game, which is pretty good for duckpin bowling (pretty serious stuff around here).
Mrs. Sanpaku's father asked her if we really thought going to Washington was such a good idea next week, so she got all worried and stuff. I think it's unlikely at this particular moment (why would terrorists pick a time when everyone was hypersensitive?) but we talked about putting it off. However, the only really good time to bring the dog down to Long Island is on Sunday, since I get Monday off. I guess this means that if we buy it in a terrorist attack next weekend, you can blame it on our dog.
